Response to Food Drive for Hope Community Services
The Woman's Club of Larchmont, Inc. drive receives much needed donations
Thank you to all who donated food, money, time and energy to The Woman’s Club of Larchmont, Inc. June 12th Food Drive. Hope Food Pantry’s Sr. Mary Alice indicated that the Federal Covid Food Pantry grant is ending so these donations were more important than ever! Over 516 food and other items were donated (estimated value: $1290) with a generous response of 173 rice and pasta items that had been specifically requested. In addition the monetary donations of $440 will be used to buy needed items in bulk and requested items like detergent.
Club member Daisy Spier donated plastic bags that made the organization so much easier for workers Georgia Jesse, Sheelah Mohan, Ann Sheridan and co-Chairpersons Zsuzsanna Baan-Jonas and Carolyn Gallaher. Club members, friends and community members all contributed to make this a successful food drive which supports others in our community.
