Thunderstorms Threaten Evening Commute Once Again

Another day, another chance of thunderstorms for the Hudson Valley As has been the case the past couple of days, the strongest storms are expected to remain to our west and south.

There's a chance of thunderstorms from about 5 p.m. until midnight Thursday, the National Weather Service says. Rain is expected to spread across the region during the evening hours.

"With the heavy rain of the past few days, areas that see prolonged downpours could experience flash flooding," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The worst of it should be between 5-8 p.m. but storms could be rolling through until midnight.

  • Friday: partly sunny, highs 75-80 degrees.
  • Saturday: partly sunny in the daytime, highs 75-80. Thunderstorms possible at night.
  • Sunday: scattered thunderstorms. Lows in the mid- to upper 40s
