"I'm truly proud of the work I did at Patch covering Lindy, my hometown, bringing critical information from the Board of Education meetings and trustee elections, and from the Town of Babylon and Village of Lindenhurst board meetings to my community," Loehr said.
One of the most prominent events Loehr covered during her time at Patch includes the coverage of Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy, which hit the Lindenhurst area particularly hard.

"I'm happy with the timely and key information and stories I was able to deliver to my community before, during, and after these storms."
Loehr's coverage helped to bring to awareness the work that Camp Bulldog and the local non-profit Adopt a House did post-Sandy. In addition, her Sandy photos inspired Patch to bring former supermodel and Project Runway host Heidi Klum to the Village's 2012's Christmas tree lighting ceremony with presents for those children in Lindenhurst affected by Sandy.
"I also remember fondly all of the personal stories, quotes, photos and tips residents, Lindenhurst officials and civic leaders gave to me and entrusted to me to help bring the latest news to the community in which I grew up and still live," she said. "Thanks to the entire community living in the 11757 zip code, and for letting me be a part of the fabric of my hometown via Lindenhurst Patch from 2011 to 2013! Here's to another 10 years and more for Lindenhurst Patch!"
