2020 Election Results: How The Town Of Babylon Voted

The Suffolk County Board of Elections released statistics from the Nov. 3 election.

TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — Last month, residents in the town of Babylon either hit the polls or mailed their votes on Election Day to choose their representatives.

After the Suffolk County Board of Elections gathered all the votes, they released data to show how each town across the county voted.

The town of Babylon has 154 election district and 140,146 registered voters. A total of 100,244 residents turned out to vote.

Residents leaned toward President-elect Joe Biden on Election Day. According to the data, Biden received 52,363, or 52.6 percent, of the votes. President Donald Trump received 46,126, or 46.3 percent, of the votes.

In the 2nd Congressional District race, it was a close contest between Andrew Garbarino and Jackie Gordon, who were vying for the seat left open by longtime congressman Peter King.

While Garbarino ultimately won the seat, town of Babylon residents chose Gordon. She received 49,759, or 52.8 percent, of the votes while Garbarino received 43,307, or 45.9 percent, of the votes.

In the 4th Senate District race, incumbent Phil Boyle beat out challenger Christine Pellegrino. Boyle received 31,246, or 52.2 percent, of the votes while Pellegrino received 28,609. or 47.8 percent, of the votes.
