2020 LI Lottery Winner: Amityville Woman Hits Jackpot
Several lucky Long Islanders managed to get lucky in 2020, including the local woman who recently won a $10 million jackpot.
AMITYVILLE, NY — Several Long Island residents have managed to find some luck in 2020 —by winning big while playing New York Lottery.
Among those winners include Amityville resident Laura Florissant, who recently won the $10 million Lottery Scratch-off jackpot.
In September, Florissant claimed her prize on a $10,000,000 Black Titanium scratch-off ticket, which she bought at the Quick Chek on Sunrise Highway in Copiague.

"Winning the Lottery feels amazing," she said. "I feel like I’m dreaming!"
She received her prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $6,718,000 after required withholdings.

So what does she plan to do with all this money? Florissant said she wants to buy a new house and take care of her family.
