3 Lindenhurst Schools To Reopen Following Coronavirus Cases
The three schools that were shut down after students and staff tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, will reopen on Thursday.
LINDENHURST, NY — Three Lindenhurst schools will reopen on Thursday after closing earlier this week due to coronavirus cases.
On Monday, the school district announced that Albany Avenue Elementary School, William Rall Elementary School and the Lindenhurst Middle School were all to operate remotely temporarily after three students and an employee within the district tested positive for COVID-19.
Then on Wednesday, Superintendent Daniel Giordano sent a letter announcing that after a full contact tracing investigation was conducted, the schools will reopen on Nov. 12.

"These interviews have more accurately identified the impact of any potential exposure to the schools’ communities," Giordano wrote. "Those staff and students who were concluded by DHS to require quarantine orders have been notified."
Earlier this week, the school district discovered that a student at Albany Avenue Elementary School, two students at William Rall Elementary School and a staff member at Lindenhurst Middle School all tested positive for COVID-19. The schools were all closed down to allow for a full contact tracing investigation.
