4-Year-Old Boy, Woman, Hospitalized After LI House Fire
The two were injured after a fire broke out at the Amityville home Thursday night.
AMITYVILLE, NY — A woman and a 4-year-old boy were injured after an Amityville house fire Thursday night, according to Suffolk police.
The blaze broke out on Ronek Drive at 9 p.m. The 4-year-old boy was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 51-year-old woman was transported to Nassau University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A man in the house was not injured.

The North Amityville Fire Co. responded and put out the fire, which caused damage to the basement. Multiple fire departments including Amityville, Copiague, Massapequa, North Lindenhurst and East Farmingdale, responded to assist.
Arson detectives are investigating.
