56th Annual Steak Fry Raises Money for Student Scholarships

The 56th annual Larry Troiano Memorial Steak Fry, sponsored by the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club, raised thousands of dollars for scholarships to benefit Lindenhurst students. Proceeds from last year’s Steak Fry yielded $15,000 in scholarships to benefit the class of 2014.

Held at Fireman’s Park in Lindenhurst, the event was enhanced by donations from Applebee’s and participants were encouraged to make a donation to the scholarship fund while enjoying the Applebee’s fare, music and raffles.

All of the proceeds from the event went to Lindenhurst students. The high school’s Key Club members were instrumental in organizing the affair.
