Abandoned Storefronts In Lindenhurst Damaged In Fire

The blaze broke out at an abandoned store on W. Montauk Highway early Tuesday morning.

LINDENHURST, NY — Multiple abandoned storefronts in Lindenhurst were damaged after a fire broke out early Tuesday morning.

Suffolk police responded to a 911 call reporting a fire on Montauk Highway, just west of Wellwood Avenue, at 3:15 a.m.

Firefighters from the Lindenhurst Fire Department found the blaze broke out at the store on 39 W. Montauk Highway.

The Copiague, North Lindenhurst, and West Babylon fire departments also responded to help battle the blaze.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not yet disclosed.
