Anti-human trafficking team offers FREE Internet Safety class

A local chapter for Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit who exists to rescue children from human trafficking and sexual exploitation, is offering a FREE virtual training to Parents and Teens.

The training takes place on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 7:00 PM EST via zoom. Parents and children can attend the training by registering on their teams website Freedomforallchildren.org

Children are being targeted by predators via game rooms, and a vast number of social media apps like Tik Tok, Instagram, Tinder, Marco Polo, just to name a few. You are the child’s #1 resource and first line of defense. Learn when and how you can protect your child, and teens will learn how to protect themselves from these predators.

The training also includes information on sextortion and grooming, and an introduction to Human Trafficking.

This class is a must for parents and all students are welcome to attend.

Sexual exploitation can happen without a child even leaving their home. We encourage all to learn about the grooming process and tactics of predators online to prevent them from exploiting more children.
