Bicyclist Dead, Motorcyclist Injured In Suffolk Crash
The motorcyclist struck the bicyclist on Tuesday night, police say.
COPIAGUE, NY — A bicyclist is dead and a motorcyclist injured following a crash in Copiague on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.
A 34-year-old North Babylon man was riding his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Great Neck Road when he struck Pedro Espinal-Estevez, 53, of Copiague, who was riding his bicycle westbound crossing Great Neck Road around 9:25 p.m., police said.
Espinal-Estevez was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was brought to a nearby hospital, police said.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
