Car Crash Reported In North Lindenhurst

Police said that a female driver and an officer driving a marked police car crashed on Route 109 Sunday evening.

NORTH LINDENHURST, NY — A crash involving a marked police car and an SUV was reported in North Lindenhurst on Sunday evening. Suffolk Police confirmed a report of a crash at 5:13 p.m. on Wellwood Avenue and Route 109.

According to police, a female driver was traveling southbound on Wellwood Avenue and the male police officer was traveling westbound on Route 109 when the crash occurred. Both drivers were going straight on the road.

Only minor injuries were reported.
