Car Crashes into Home on N. Indiana Ave.
The Sunday afternoon crash injures the driver and passenger of the car and damages the house, but no one inside was injured, say Suffolk Police.

A car crashed into a house on North Indiana Avenue between East Hoffman Avenue and Albert Street in Lindenhurst at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
No one in the home appeared to be injured, police said, and the driver and the passenger sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
According to eyewitness reports, the two were looking for directions to the Lindenhurst High School.
The Ms. New York Senior America Pageant was taking place there on Sunday afternoon, but it’s unknown if that was the reason they were looking to get there, according to eyewitnesses at the scene.
Eyewitnesses also said the driver appeared to be making a U-turn after receiving directions, then lost control of the car.
The car crashed through a fence, destroyed some lawn statues and ended up hitting the front of the house, they said.
The home - owned by an older man, according to eyewitnesses - appeared to sustain damage just underneath the front window next to the front steps.
The raised flower bed underneath the window was also damaged, and the car’s hood and left fender appeared to be damaged as a result.
Eyewitnesses also said it appeared both the driver and passenger were treated and transported to a local hospital, but Suffolk Police couldn’t confirm that and had no other details of the May 5 crash at presstime.
