Copiague Deli Shooting: 1 Killed, 3 Seriously Injured

COPIAGUE, NY — A man was killed and three others were seriously injured in a shooting in Copiague Saturday night, according to Suffolk police.

The shooting occurred at La Vaquita Corp. deli on 2340 Great Neck Road at 6:10 p.m., police said.

When officers arrived at the scene they found four men had been shot inside the deli, police said. One man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The owner of the deli, 61-year-old Bolivar Rodriguez, of Amityville, as well as 30-year-old Juan Ramone Avilla Roque, of North Amityville, and 40-year-old Daniel Acosta, of Copiague, were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.
