Daniel Street Raises Money, Wears Blue for Autism
Students and staff at the Lindenhurst elementary school raise $400 for Austism Speaks.

By participating in Wear Blue for Autism Awareness, Daniel Street Elementary School students, staff, teachers and administrators raised $400.00 for Autism Speaks, an organization that celebrated Autism Awareness Month in April.
During the month, many families, local autism advocates, friends and community leaders join together to celebrate, bring awareness, support and hope to families and people with autism spectrum disorder.
Autism Speaks has grown into a "leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families," according to information on the non-profit organization's website.
