Daniel Street Second-Graders Recreate History
The Lindenhurst elementary school students dress up as historical figures.
Daniel Street Elementary School second-grade students recently dressed up as famous Americans such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Amelia Earhart and Rosa Parks.
As part of a Social Studies unit students were asked to choose a famous American to research.
Students had a chosen day to present their research and dress up as their character.
“The second-graders loved learning about history and dressing up in character,” explained teacher Alyson Ferreby.
