Drunken Lindenhurst Man Crashed With 2 Children In Car: NCPD
The 42-year-old allegedly crashed while driving drunk with his two kids, ages 6 and 9, in the car with him, Saturday night, police said.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — A Lindenhurst man was arrested for driving drunk and crashing his car with his two children in the car in Massapequa Saturday night, according to Nassau police.
Robert Spears, 42, hit a car stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Hicksville Road and William Road around 8:30 p.m., police said.
Officers responded to the scene of the crash, and after an investigation, found that Spears was driving drunk with the two children, ages 6 and 9, in the car with him, police said.

They were released to a relative after the crash.
No one was injured in the crash.

Speas was charged with DWI, two counts of aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
He was arraigned on Sunday and released, and is due back in court on June 3.
