Funeral Services Announced For Helen Lavorata

LINDENHURST, NY - Funeral services for Helen Lavorata, wife of Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata, have been announced.

Helen died on Thursday after a battle with cancer at 59-years-old.

The first visitation will take place on Sunday, September 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home on 424 S. Wellwood Avenue.

There will be additional visitations at the funeral home on Monday, September 9 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 10 starting at 10 a.m. at the St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church on 1 Shrine Place in Greenlawn.

Burial will take place at the Breslau Cemetery in Lindenhurst.
