While conducting the search, police say Naquan Reid, 27, of Steele Place, Amityville, and Sophia Kwintner, 21, of Chelsea Place, Deer Park, were seen getting into a gray Chevrolet Impala, which matched the description of the LOJAC alarm.
Police say the officer saw the car commit multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. The officer tried to pull over the car, but Reid, who was driving, refused to stop, police say, and drove north on Carmans Road, committing more traffic violations.
