ICYMI: Blaze Burns Down Abandoned Home

In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared earlier this week in the Lindenhurst Patch:

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — Eight fire departments battled a massive blaze at an abandoned North Amityville home Sunday night.

Suffolk police confirmed that the fire occurred on Columbus Boulevard at 10:15 p.m.

Members of the North Amityville Fire Department responded along with assistance from the Amityville, East Farmingdale, Farmingdale, Copiague, Massapequa, Lindenhurst, and North Lindenhurst fire departments.

Firefighters battled the fire for over an hour in the frigid temperatures. Arson detectives are still investigating. No further information was immediately available.
