Legislators Barraga and McCaffrey Explore Shark Week with the Marine Explorers

Sea Explorers Marine Camp, located at the Sport Fishing Education Center in Babylon’s Cedar Beach Marina, recently received a special visit from Suffolk County Legislator Tom Barraga (R-West Islip) and Legislator Kevin McCaffrey (R-Lindenhurst).

The camp, one of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County Summer Camps, teaches campers about the creatures inhabiting local oceans, bays and salt marshes. Campers, who come from all over western Suffolk, handle marine animals in their touch tanks, participate in beach activities and games, seine the salt marshes and make marine crafts.
