LHS International Club Celebrates Cultural Diversity

The Lindenhurst High School International Club - along with students, faculty and administration - enjoyed a week-long cultural enlightenment festival.

It featured singing, dancing and sharing of traditional ethnic foods, and culminated with an international festival held in the school cafeteria.

At the event luncheon students sang international songs, viewed a special dance performance by a professional dance company and ate homemade dishes such as kielbasa, dumplings and meatballs.

“The event celebrated cultural diversity,” said advisor Richard Weeks.

“Club members did an amazing job throughout the festivities,” he said.

Donations raised went to the Lindenhurst Sandy Relief Fund.
