Library Holds Budget Talk, Voter Registration Sat.
A 2013-14 budget information meeting and voter registration are being held on March 23 at the Lindenhurst Memorial Library.
The Lindenhurst Memorial Library is holidng a budget informational meeting on Saturday, March 23, ahead of its upcoming 2013-14 budget vote and trustee election on Tuesday, April 2.
It's set for 9:30 a.m. in the LML's meeting room, and residents are welcome to attend.
The same day the LML's holding voter registration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To vote residents must be a registered voters living within the Lindenhurst School District.

According to library officials, eligible voters looking to register must be a United States citizens, and 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which they register and 18 by the time of the library vote - which will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on April 2.
They must also be living at their present address for at least 30 days before the election, not be in jail or on parole for a felony conviction and not claim the right to vote elsewhere.

Registration forms and applications for absentee ballots are available.
Registered voters will be able to vote on the LML's proposed operating budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014 on April 3 - which is also Amnesty Day at the library.
