Lindenhurst Diner Named Best On Long Island For 2021

LINDENHURST, NY — Long Island residents cast their votes and chose a Lindenhurst diner as the best on Long Island for 2021, according to the Bethpage's Best of Long Island awards.

Lindenhurst Diner, located on 195 E Montauk Hwy, received the honor this year. The local establishment also received the honor in 2019. Last year, CJ's Coffee Shop in Rockville Centre was named the best diner.

Since it kicked off 15 years ago, the awards, sponsored by the Bethpage Federal Credit Union allow residents to choose the best countless restaurants, shops, and family-run businesses across Long Island.

"The Bethpage Best of LI contest is a roadmap to the best, top-notch businesses and services throughout both Nassau and Suffolk counties, as chosen by you, the residents and patrons who rely on them, every single day," the website reads.

There aren’t many things Long Islanders love more than a good diner. And there aren’t many diners they love more than Lindenhurst. Fans rave about their scrumptious full vegan menu that knocks the socks off the local competition with cheesy apps and entrees. Classic diner fare such as pancakes and omelets also get christened with delicious twists and toppings. Perfectly fried starters, specialty burgers, and frothy shakes served in mason jars all have regulars coming back with friends. The Lindenhurst diner currently offers curbside, delivery, takeout, and car hop service. Those looking for a sit-down meal, however, will find properly distanced tables, shields, and hand sanitizer in sweet containers at every table. Outdoor seating is also available for diners who want to bask in the sun or avoid the indoors altogether.

In addition, the diner received the Best of Long Island award for best spinach pie and best coffee cake.

The business addressed the win in a Facebook post.

"We are so thankful to our incredible customers for voting for us each and every day for months," the post read. "We would like to thank our incredible executive chef, Nicholas Hannides for his irresistibly delicious food. And a huge thank you to our staff for serving the best customers on Long Island."
