Lindenhurst Football Plays for County Title Friday

Division I title game to be played at Stony Brook University.

The Lindenhurst High School football team is set to take on Patchogue-Medford in the Suffolk County Division I championship game on Friday night.

The Bulldogs, the No. 4 seed, beat Sachem East 33-7 last Saturday to punch their ticket to the finals. Joe Barber ran for two TDs, Mike Santobello returned a fumble 41 yards for a touchdown, Jeremy Ruckert caught a TD pass from Ryan Hofmann and A.J. Leddy nailed two field goals for the Bulldogs in the semifinals.

The Raiders of Pat-Med may be the No. 7 seed, but they come into finals red-hot. Pat-Med beat top-seeded Longwood 38-22 last week after taking out the No. 2 seed, Connetquot, the week before.
