Seven-year-old Dominik came home from the hospital to a parade of well-wishers who wanted to offer support for his year-long health battle.

LINDENHURST, NY —Little Dominik had a hero's welcome in Lindenhurst Monday, as the seven-year-old boy who has been battling cancer for over a year came home from the hospital to a parade of well-wishers. His mother Vicky Ramos owns local restaurant Vicky's Casa del Sabor, and their trip home from the hospital was escorted by three fire departments.
The restaurant posted a thank you on Facebook to the community for the welcome home:
"The outpour of support was absolutely amazing and more than we could have ever imagined. He loved every sign given to him and present. It was so amazing seeing the community and our customers coming and showing love. We are so appreciative for everyone's prayers and support every single day. This little boy has showed many people he's a fighter and we truly believe that chemo will kick in and a miracle will happen."
