LINDENHURST, NY - The Lindenhurst School District recently announced that the boys varsity basketball team as well as head coach, Jim Fenton, were both recognized by the Western Suffolk County Boys Basketball Officials Association.
Both team and coach were the recipients of the 2018-19 Art Figliozzi Sportsmanship Award.
"We are delighted to be selected as this year’s recipients," Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics Anthony Amesti said. "This recognition is truly a credit to the way that our student athletes and coaches model themselves in competition throughout the season and we are always proud of them."
