Lindenhurst Salon Reopens With New Guidelines Under Phase 2

LINDENHURST, NY — Long Island officially entered phase two of the reopening plan, many businesses are preparing to open. One of those businesses is Studio Trio Hair Salon on 109 N. Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst.

The 7-year-old business officially reopened its doors on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. Owner Naomi Corbo told Patch about some of the changes her business will be making going forward.

The waiting room will be closed and clients are asked to wait in their cars before their appointment. In addition, every other styling station was removed to allow six to eight feet between customers. The color lounge has also been re-imagined to allow six feet of room.

Corbo also said the entire salon has been sanitized and disinfected. All employees, who took a "Barbacide" course in disinfecting and sanitizing, will be wearing masks as well as face shields. Color clients will be asked to enter from the back door while haircut clients can enter from the front door.

Social distancing measures will be required and hand sanitizing stations have been set up at each station. There will also be more time in between clients to allow additional time for sanitizing and disinfecting.

The salon hours will be from Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
