Lindenhurst School Budget Approved, 3 Trustees Elected

The budget includes a 0.98 percent increase in the school tax levy.

LINDENHURST, NY — Residents in the Lindenhurst School District have approved a 2021-21 school budget by a margin of 591 to 366.

In addition, the proposition to utilize Capital Reserve Fund to finance projects for the acquisition and installation of new windows in the Daniel Street School has passed by a margin of 635 to 310.

The $171.3 million budget is a 1.67 percent increase over the current year and includes a 0.98 percent increase in the school tax levy, within the state's tax cap.
