Lindenhurst Schools Closed On Wednesday
Superintendent will take decision day by day as community recovers from Sandy.

Lindenhurst Schools will be closed for a third straight day on Wednesday as the community continues to slowly recover from the devastating impact of Hurricane Sandy.
School superintendent Richard Nathan told Patch that as of mid-day Tuesday, all elementary schools are without power, the middle school had power and the high school was running on generator power only and was also serving as a temporary evacuation shelter.
Nathan also said buses are unable to get to students in southern parts of Lindenhurst as the roads are impassable.
