Lindy Cares is proud to partner with Meg Danaher of Danaher Wealth Management and Brian White, Esq. (Lindenhurst alumni) to provide these students with scholarships to help fund the next leg of their journey. As Meg put it so eloquently, she hopes that they will remember this gesture and pay it forward to students who come after. Guy Calla, representing Suffolk County Legislature Kevin McCaffrey, reminded the honorees to take care of themselves as they work toward the greater good. Additionally, Ann Parmely from Senator Boyle's office and village mayor Mike LaVorata gave encouragement and best wishes from our Senator and the village trustees. WE are grateful to Ann Marie Thomson, a long-time officer of the Parent-Teacher Association, for taking the time to read over 40 essays submitted by our students and highlight some of the great ideas they shared. The essays offered advice and counsel on how Lindy Cares Coalition can best serve our students and create a more protective environment in which they believe they can thrive. This opportunity for students to provide anonymous feedback aligns with the Lindy Cares Tradition to giving YOUTH a VOICE...and listening...

Lindy Cares is our neighborhood coalition established in 2013 to educate, empower, collaborate and serve all community members to pursue the mission and vision of reducing addiction by implementing evidence-based prevention practices to encourage drug and alcohol-free youth.
