Lindy Man Arrested for DWI, Driving Wrong Way on Southern State
New York State Police charge Leston Douglas after he reportedly traveled in the wrong direction on the parkway, struck a Toyota and left the accident scene on Saturday morning.
A Lindenhurst man has been arrested by New York State Police for allegedly travelling in the wrong direction on Southern State Parkway and causing and then leaving an accident early Saturday morning.
NYS Police said on March 23 at 5:25 a.m. Leston Douglas, 25, was behind the wheel of a gray Toyota Camry that was traveling in the wrong direction on the Southern State Parkway - Eastbound in the Westbound lanes East of Route 110 - when he struck a Toyota and left the accident scene.
Troopers located and arrested Douglas. They charged him with DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, driving the wrong way and unlicensed operation.

No injuries were sustained in the accident, according to the NYS Police.
Douglas was held for arraignment in Suffolk County First District Court.
