He was one of two players on the Division I Seawolves baseball team to garner weekly conference honors following a road series victory up at Binghamton.
Courtney was named America East Player of the Week, and freshman Daniel Zamora, of La Puente, California, earned his second straight America East Rookie of the Week honor, according to information posted on the SBU baseball team's website here.
Courtney was 6-for-18 at the plate with two home runs and seven RBI last week. He slugged .833 at the plate, and both of his home runs were huge toward helping the Seawolves take two out of three from Binghamton.
He hit a grand slam in the fifth inning of game one on Saturday, breaking a 1-1 tie and leading Stony Brook to a 5-1 victory.

In total five of Courtney's six hits last week were for extra bases. He added three doubles to his two homers.
In 21 conference games this season, Courtney is hitting .343 with five home runs and 24 RBI.
