Lindy Village Business Recognized!

The Mayor's Beautification Society held it's annual awards meeting at BACCA this year to honor Spasso Pizzeria!

On January 22, the Lindenhurst Village Mayor's Beautification Society (MBS) chaired by past honoree/recipient Maryann Weckerle of Bak and Vogel Paints, together with the society members, fellow business owners, government officials and representatives from local civic and community organizations were honored to present the Merchant of the Year Award to the owner's of Spasso Pizzeria. The owner's of Spasso's earned this well-deserved honor for creating a beautiful storefront and dining experience for their patrons, helping to support their fellow business owners and participating in promoting the downtown revitalization efforts. You can enjoy a delicious meal at Spasso's located at 51 West Hoffman Avenue in Lindy and participate in the beautification of our village by joining the next society meeting.

The Babylon Citizen's Arts Council managed by Shawn Cullinane provided the venue for this celebration and tasty treats were prepared with love by the society members. Attendees were also invited to try delicious bites from some of Lindy's new and not so new establishments including Hermana's Kitchen, Restoration Kitchen, Village Lantern, Joes's Gourmet Meats, Cieslack's Modern Bakery, 27A Brewing Co., Muni's Coffee Joint and Bakuto.

Mayor Mike Lavorata and a heartfelt honorable mention by Diane Brennan on behalf of Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey brought attention to the dedicated members of the MBS, who are always working to make our village more beautiful and vibrant: Jane Aaron, Larry and Susan Bauerlein, Maria Bolke, Diane Brennan, June Cullinane, Terri Hearney, Gaye Kienle, Dan Mari, Jackie Milton, Louise Perrotta, Ann Marie Perullo, John Frenna, Evie Sosna, Laura Eastby and Angela Rosati.
