Lindy Local Events
Play Supermarket WINGO on Friday at Grace United Methodist Church beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $5, and includes one free WINGO sheet and one free ticket for a door prize, as well as coffee and cake during intermission. Children younger than five years old won't be admitted.
The Senior Citizen Prom will take place at Lindenhurst High School cafeteria fro 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Good Rats will perform at Lindenhurst Moose Lodge on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Go bargain hunting at a garage sale on North Fulton Avenue on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Items for sale include toys, action figures, guitars, furniture, boogie boards, craft/school supplies, clothes and more.
The Squirettes of Mary are hosting an Afternoon Tea Party at the Lindenhurst Knights of Columbus on Sunday at 1 p.m. Enjoy finger sandwiches, flavored teas, scones and more. There'll be a hat parade with prizes for best hat and most unique tea cup. Many other "delectable delights" will be served. Admission is $15. Call Ann Marie Perullo for reservations at 631-225-1165. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The Mayor's Beautification Society of Lindenhurst invites the public to its First Spring Evening with the Stars at The Studio Theatre with a presentation of the comedy play Sly Fox on Sunday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and curtain's at 6 p.m. Tickets are$22 per person. For tickets call Evelyn Chivvis at 631-226-0207, or purchase them at the door. Complimentary refreshments following the play.
