The NSLIJ Mobile Health Van is in Lindenhurst on Saturday, May 11, at the Lindenhurst Memorial Library, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., to aid Hurricane Sandy victims, according to Village of Lindenhurst's Deputy Mayor Kevin McCaffrey (text VOL to 411247 for updates from the Village’s text messaging system).
Boy Scout Troop 1421 is hosting their annual Mothers’ Day Breakfast on Sunday at the Moose Lodge in Lindenhurst. From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, juice, coffee and more. The cost is $6 for adults and $5 for kids. Children younger than three years old are admitted for free.

Saint Paul’s Reformed Church in North Babylon is holding a car show and craft fair on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Admission is free. There’ll also be food and raffles available.
Pick up a gift for mom at the West Islip Beautification Society Mothers’ Day plant sale on Saturday at Pine Lake in West Islip. Annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, vegetables and herbs will go on sale beginning at 8 a.m. All proceeds go toward beautifying West Islip.
Stop by the Spring craft fair at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in West Islip on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Thirty vendors will be selling crafts, jewelry and more. There’ll also be a food court.
Take part in the 2013 Arthritis Foundation Walk at Belmont Lake State Park on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Explore the historic houses of the South Shore during a multimedia presentation by author Christopher Collora on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Long Island Yacht Club in Babylon.
The 18th Annual Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial Run will take place on Sunday at 9 a.m. at West Islip High School.
