Lindy's 'Legally Blonde' Performances Recognized

Musical production received two proclamations.

The Thespian Troupe at Lindenhurst High School performed its winter musical with a production of the Tony nominated show, Legally Blonde, on Jan. 23.

“When I came to Lindenhurst High School earlier this year I was tasked with selecting a musical that would showcase the strong female talent in this year’s theater program, as well as providing an enjoyable and meaningful experience for all those involved, including musicians, designers, technicians, the boys in the cast and of course, the audience,” said director Jordan Hue. “Beneath the gloss, this is a show about social justice and empowerment. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work on this with the teachers, students and volunteers at Lindenhurst.”

The musical production received two proclamations. One was presented to principal Dr. Christopher Gitz by Lindenhurst Mayor Thomas Brennan, proclaiming January 24, 2015 Lindenhurst High School Musical Day. Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey presented the second proclamation, which extolled the virtues of the Lindenhurst musical production program.
