Save the Dates! Lindy is known for creating a protective environment for kids to thrive, this October is no exception!
One way Lindy residents and officials strive to strengthen protective factors in our neighborhood is to provide safe and fun activities for youth and their families. Here's whats in store this October:
Harvest Festival - Saturday October 12, 2019 - 12:00PM-6:00PM Lindenhurst Volunteer Fire Department Chemical & Salvage Co., #2 Annual Harvest Festival - Fireman's Park 555 Heiling Blvd, Lindenhurst, NY (Rain Date - Sunday October 13) $5.00 General Admission Kids 12 and under free. $4.00 for Unlimited Fun Zone. Red Ribbon Decorating Lindy Village - Thursday, October 17, 2019 - 6:30 PM - Meet at the Lindy Middle School on Wellwood for the kick off of the Annual Red Ribbon Campaign. Join students and residents as we cover the town in RED RIBBONS to commemorate our annual pledge in collaboration with local businesses, faith based institutions, law enforcement, government and schools to provide a protective environment and a safer place for kids to grow up by limiting youth access to drugs and alcohol! Red Ribbon Kick Off - Friday, October 25, 2019 - Join Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Town Board Members, Kimberly Jean Pierre, Village Board Officials, Kevin Mccaffrey along with Copiague Community Cares and Lindy Cares Coalitions to Kick Off Red Ribbon Week at the Town Hall on Sunrise Highway. This annual proclamation unifies multi-levels of government and community organizations in an effort reduce the misuse of drugs and alcohol among youth in the Town of Babylon. Guest Speakers and Light Refreshments so stop by to show support and meet and greet the officials dedicated to a reducing the dangerous misuse of substances in our town!
