Island Rhino Cleaners’ donation to BCBA and its Patriots Boxing Program comes at a critical time. This program is designed to provide a two-punch combination to help veterans. Punch One aims to help veterans with PTSD by offering free boxing workouts. These workout sessions are non-competitive and non-contact. Punch Two is an awareness campaign about PTSD and the damage it is having on our veteran community. “We are losing 22 veterans a day to suicide, many of whom are battling this crippling condition,” states Ray Bettinelli Head Boxing Coach and Acting Director at BCBA.

Veterans who are not suffering from PTSD are encouraged to participate in the program by helping train their fellow soldiers and competing on their behalf.

BCBA bills this squad of amateur boxers as The Patriots Boxing Team. These veterans are trained, transported and conditioned by BCBA’s volunteer coaches. Team appearances in amateur boxing tournaments and matches aims to raise awareness and keep the focus on the effects PTSD is having on the veteran community.

By donating a portion of their future sales, Island Rhino Cleaners has pledged to continue supporting BCBA and their veterans program.
