The Saturday tours will have discounted train passes, stops at Sand City and Great South Bay breweries and end in Patchogue for dining.

LINDENHURST, NY —The MTA and Long Island RailRoad announced a new summer brewery tour that guarantees no one will be driving after drinking. The "Long Island Brewery Tour" package is an escorted tour via train and bus to two South Shore breweries, culminating in a stop in Patchogue Village for shopping and dining.
LIRR President Phil Eng announced the new offering in Lindenhurst on Thursday. The tours will be on Saturday, July 31 and Saturday, August 21. They include discounted round-trip transportation, beer tastings at Sand City South in Lindenhurst and Bay Shore's Great South Bay Brewery.

Lindenhurst Village Mayor Michael Lavorata explained the benefits of the tour at the news conference.
“This is an especially timely event which will help to showcase some of our new and local establishments. The suggestion to use the LIRR to travel between localities without the need to drive naturally reduces the potential of DWI. It is a safe and enjoyable way to visit your favorite local breweries, restaurants, and pubs.”
