No Swimming At Amityville Village Beach

Those who want to enjoy the unofficial last week of summer might want to avoid swimming at this beach.

AMITYVILLE, NY - Amityville Village Beach is closed to bathing due to the finding of bacteria at levels in excess of acceptable criteria, Suffolk health officials announced Monday.

Lloyd Harbor Estate Beach and the Town of Islip’s Ronkonkoma Beach, which closed last Saturday, remain closed.

Tanner Park Beach, which closed earlier this season remains closed.
