Obituary: Anthony D’Angelo, of Lindenhurst, Dies At 83
The longtime local business owner passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Friday.

LINDENHURST, NY — Anthony D’Angelo, of Lindenhurst, died on Friday, April 16, at home surrounded by his family. He was 83.
D'Angelo was born in Flushing, Queens to Joseph D’Angelo on February 19, 1938 and went to high school at Jamaica High School.
He met his wife Janet Lindroth when they were both young teenagers. They were married in 1960 in Queens NY. In 1969, the couple founded A D’Angelo Glass & Mirror Co in Lindenhurst, where they worked together for 40 years.

In his younger years, he was a member of the US Army reserve and a long-time member of the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club, serving for one year as its president.
D'Angelo was predeceased by his father Joseph and step-mother Theresa D’Angelo, his brother Joseph, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred Herbert and Rose Thelma Lindroth.

He is survived by his wife Janet D’Angelo, his children Francine D’Angelo, Anthony D’Angelo Jr., Denise Casella D’Angelo, Dorine D’Angelo, Jeanine D’Angelo Hovanec and Dennis Hovanec.
In addition, he is survived by grandchildren Alicia Klein Roberto, Peter Roberto, Robert Klein, Anthony D’Angelo III, Lindsay D’Angelo, Joseph D’Angelo, Nicole D’Angelo, Joseph D’Angelo, James D’Angelo, Stephanie Hovanec, Danielle D’Angelo, Dennis Hovanec Jr., Mathew Famighetti, and Nicholas D’Angelo as well as his great-grandchildren Peter Roberto and Amelia Roberto.
He is also survived by his very close friends, some of which he has known since grammar school in Queens.
