Obituary: Philip Bonvino, 27, of Lindenhurst

Philip Bonvino of Lindenhurst passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15 at the age of 27.

Born on Feb. 8, 1988, Philip lived with Nemaline Myopathy, a rare neuromuscular disease.

Philip’s mother, Joy Librizzi, dedicated her life to taking care of her son.

Family and friends will gather at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday for services from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at 424 South Wellwood Ave. in Lindenhurst.

Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. at 666 Albin Ave. in West Babylon.

Interments to follow immediately at St. Charles Cemetery, located at 2015 Wellwood Ave. in Farmingdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to A Foundation Building Strength for Nemaline Myopathy. www.buildingstrength.org and/or www.angelashouse.org.
