Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Copiague: Police
The 61-year-old was struck by a car after stepping onto Oak Street near Great Neck Road, police said.
COPIAGUE, NY — A pedestrian hit and killed in a crash on Copiague Tuesday evening, according to Suffolk police. Wojtek Brajczewski, 61, of Wantagh, stepped onto Oak Street and was hit by a vehicle driven by Nicole Campay, 40, of Lindenhurst.
The collision happened at 5:20 p.m. as Campay drove east on the street near Great Neck Road.
Copiague Rescue took Brajczewski to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Campay was not injured. She was driving a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, which was impounded for a safety check.
Detectives asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
