Adrian Enea's first-graders show off by their self-created city of Danielhurst at Daniel Street Elementary School.
As part of a unit about urban development, Daniel Street Elementary School first-graders put their learning into action by creating their own city called Danielhurst.
Collectively, the students built the city using various creative elements, including shoeboxes as the buildings’ foundations.
Each student was assigned a different part of the city to build, including a school, houses, a firehouse, a police station, a library and restaurants.
The student’s creations were completed at home, with help of a parent/guardian.
