Places to Observe Easter in Lindenhurst
Here's a list of places to worship in the community this holiday weekend, for those who observe Easter.
With Good Friday and Easter this weekend, Lindenhurst Patch has compiled a list of religious institutions in the community where residents could worship, for those who observe.
For starters at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) the morning prayer on Good Friday is at 9 a.m. Stations of the Cross is at 12 p.m. The Celebration of the Lord's passion will be at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. And Penance is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The morning prayer on Holy Saturday is at 9 a.m. Penance is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. And the Easter Vigil is at 8 p.m.

On Easter Sunday Mass times are 6:30 a.m., 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Theres no 5 p.m. Mass.

The Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church's special holiday schedule starts on Good Friday with the Royal Hour - the First at 9 a.m. The Great Vespers with Procession with the Plashchenitsa (shroud) is at 4 p.m. The Jerusalem Matin - Ukrainian is at 7 p.m.
The Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great - the Proclamation of the Resurrection is at 9 a.m. on Holy Saturday. The Blessing of Easter Food is at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. while confession is from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On Easter Sunday the Service at the Tomb starts at 7:30 a.m.; the Paschal Procession and Matins begins at 7:45 a.m.; and the Easter Divine Liturgy (English/ Ukrainian) commences at 9 a.m.
Following the Liturgy the Myrovania takes place. There’s also a Divine Liturgy in Ukrainian at 10:30 a.m. View the full schedule on the church's website.
Grace United Methodist Church’s schedule includes a Lenten Concert of Sacred Music. It's on Saturday at 6 p.m.
In addition, the Evangel Church of God's Good Friday service starts at 7 p.m. and its Easter Celebration takes place on Sunday at 10 a.m. View the full schedule on the church’s website.
The Living Truth Family Church, located in the former Bower school, is holding service on this Resurrection Sunday at 10:15 a.m., according to information posted to Lindenhurst Patch's Facebook page here.
