Lindenhurst Union Free School District extends its congratulations to the students
who were recognized as Special Education PTA awards recipients during a virtual
ceremony posted on the district’s website.

“Throughout the past 12 months all of our students have experienced
unprecedented challenges,” said Assistant Superintendent for Special Education and Pupil
Personnel, Bret Kearney. “The students who are being honored have overcome these
challenges and adapted to their new learning environment. Through their efforts, the
efforts of our teaching staff, administrators and support staff we have been able to have a
successful 2020-2021 school year.”
Students from each of the elementary schools, middle school, high school and
Lindenhurst Academy were announced as their photo was shared on screen. Additionally,
they received a certificate in recognition of their achievements from the Special Education
PTA.
