State Helps Fund Lindy Road Projects

Village to receive $100K to help cover costs of improvements on North Wellwood Avenue and North Indiana Street.

Two local roadway improvement projects will move forward thanks to funding from New York State.

The Village of Lindenhurst will be receiving $100,000 from Albany to help pay for repaving and other improvements to North Wellwood Avenue. The funding will also be used to help cover the costs for a second improvement project on North Indiana Street.

“This funding will be directly utilized to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety on these two streets," said Thomas Brennan, Lindenhurst’s Mayor.
