Straight Path Racks up Another Car Crash
A Palm Sunday multiple-car crash at the intersection of North Wellwood Avenue and Straight Path sends two to the hospital, say Suffolk Police.

The intersection of Straight Path and North Wellwood Avenue recently racked up another car accident.
According to Suffolk Police, a 2002 Chrysler was traveling North on Straight Path on Palm Sunday when the 40-year-old female driver attempted to make a left turn onto North Wellwood Avenue and was struck by a 2011 Honda that was traveling South on North Wellwood Avenue.
The Chrysler then apparently spun and struck a 2007 Hyundai that was traveling Northbound on North Wellwood Avenue, police said.

Police also said the call regarding a multiple-car crash came in at 2:55 p.m. on March 24.
The driver of the Honda, and a passenger in the Chrysler, were both transported by Lindenhurst Fire Department to Good Samaritan Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The Honda and Hyundai only had the driver as an occupant while the Chrysler had the driver and three occupants, police noted.
This car accident is one of several Straight Path has seen in the past year.
In January a two-car crash at Straight Path and Route 109 sent at least one person to the hospital.
In October three people were injured in a two-car crash at 52nd Street.
Two accidents last July produced no injuries, but in the same week in July a third accident injured three people.
A month later at the end of August, another accident on Straight Path injured two people.
And in April 2012 a two-car accident on Straight Path sent one of those cars into the front bay window of a home on 49th Street. The exterior of that home appears to have since been repaired.
