Thunderstorm Chances in the Long Island Work Week Forecast

There's a lot of sun in the forecast, but two days will bring chances of thunderstorms. We'll let you know when.

Monday is the first day of summer and the work week will bring plenty of sun, but keep that umbrella handy as there will be chances of thunderstorms on Tuesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service says.

Monday will be gorgeous with sunny skies and a high near 77 degrees on Long Island. Early Tuesday, mainly between 4-8 a.m., will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but the rest of the day should be mostly sunny with a high near 85.

The next threat of "unsettled weather" looks to be Thursday into Thursday evening, the NWS says.
